Easter Brunch and Easter Events

I saw on Erin San Diego Gal's blog today posts for some great Easter Brunches, her recommendations for Easter Sunday Brunch are.
1. Family Kayak Adventure -The Easter Brunch Paddle starts at 10am with an introductory kayak lesson at Glorietta Bay, then continues with a tour of the San Diego Bay and brunch on the patio at Peohe’s in Coronado. Kayak cost is $42 for adults and $17 for children under 14.
2.Bertrand at Mister A's -- for all the traditionalists out there -- Three-Course Easter Brunch menu includng roast lamb and lobster for only $35 per person. Still some of the best service and mosr impeccable dining rooms int he city.
3.94th Aero Squadron -- Fabulous Sunday brunch complete with a Waffle bar, fajita station, carved chicken and roast beef, $24.95 for the morning champagne brunch and 29.95 for the prime rb dinner buffet in the evening.

SATURDAY APRIL 3, 2010

1. Elevate's Easter EGGSTRAVAGANZA
Come join us as thousands of plastic eggs are dropped at the Easter EGGstravaganza for children of all ages! This is a free event for kids 12 and under and will feature inflatables, food, crafts and prizes! The Eggstravaganza begins at 10:00am and the main event will occur at 11:00am.

2.The US Grant

Downtown hotel’s elaborate Easter Bonnet Tea invites patrons to step back into time, slip on a pair of vintage white gloves, and socialize over cucumber with lump crab sandwiches. The afternoon menu includes a variety of loose leaf teas, pastries, scones, petite sandwiches, and s’mores for the little ones who don’t mind getting a little marshmallow on their skirt ruffles. The affair will take place in the Grand Lobby from 1pm-3pm.
3.Poinsetta Park
6600 Hidden Valley Road, Carlsbad, CA 92009 (map)
Starting at 10am, Carlsbad’s Poinsettia Park will host the annual EGGStravaganza Spring Festival with music, games, crafts, bounce houses, and egg hunts on the baseball fields. $5 activity cards must be purchased for kids to participate.

EASTER SUNDAY APRIL 4, 2010
1.George’s at the Cove

Executive chef Trey Foshee has designed a special brunch for Easter Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Items include house-made pastries, brioche French toast with Chino strawberries and Meyer lemon cream, eggs Benedict with fresh Dungeness crab and Meyer lemon hollandaise, huevos rancheros with black beans and braised Colorado lamp shank with butternut squash risotto.
2.Hotel del Coronado

'When the Easter Bunny arrives in San Diego, we’re pretty sure he’ll be checking into The Del. The hotel’s many Easter activities include oceanfront egg hunts at 10am and 12pm (free for brunch/hotel guests); crafts on the south end of the Windsor Lawn ($7 for brunch/hotel guests, $14 for non-guests); a Champagne brunch buffet in the ballroom; and photos with the Bunny himself.
3.Grant Grill

On Sunday, April 4 the restaurant at the US Grant Hotel is offering a champagne brunch (470 adults, $22 children) with a live jazz band and an Easter bunny on hand for photos with the kids. There is also a mother-daughter afternoon tea with entertainment by a concert pianist on Saturday, April 3 ($42 adults, $22 children).
4.Loews Coronado

The Easter Sunday festivities start with champagne brunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. ($60 adults, $30 children). Also, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. there will be Easter egg decorating and arts and crafts followed by an Easter egg hunt.

From March 26 to April 21, more than 300 fragrant Easter lilies will fill the park’s botanical building. Free and open to the public Friday through Wednesday of each week.
