Farewell Summer

It's weird summer has been long gone for me almost 2 months ago it ended but for some reason when Fall gets going I can't help but miss the summer. It is my favorite season after all but usually I am so busy soaking up the sun during the summer that I rarely sit down at the computer to blog so in honor of my reminiscing over a season gone by I decided to share some of the most precious highlights of my summer.

Well we danced our socks off at tons of weddings we went to and at the last got complimented on how awesome a couple we are!

Spending everyday on the beautiful blue pacific coast! Who doesn't love the beach and the color blue for that matter.

Being a surf instructor with all these great people!

Summer uniform was nothing more than a bathing suit and pair of flip flops!

I married the love of my life and I get to spend the rest of my life laughing with this Hot Man!

July 9, 2011 was the best day ever all of my closest friends and family go together to celebrate one of the most important days of my life!!! (photo by Dan Fields)

Camping at San Elijo will always be an amazing part of my summer!

Hanging out with all of my old friends from church cheering on our boys!

Switchfoot concert was pretty fun!

Being able to run my toes through the sand

Spending time with family and surfing the summer away! Watching tim and mashoo bond!

And of course of fun girls night out bachlorette party Hats and Heels!

And of course a big highlight was captured on camera and turned into an amazing video which I already posted about here

Have you lost your marbles

When I was little I was obsessed with marbles. I used to collect them because I thought they were little glass treasures. I believe the people that lived in the house that I grew up in before us must have had a child that liked to play marbles because I used to find them buried in my backyard. My dad would also search for them with me and use the really pretty marbles as eyes in his fish sculptures. Now you can hardly find marbles anywhere anymore but anytime I see them in toy stores it always brings back good childhood memories.

Wishing for a life as sweet as HONEY

Do you ever get so overwhelmed with work, school or just life trying to make it in this success striving career world. Well I do, I sometimes wish for a simpler life a job that I have to just grow or raise something. Today I wish I was a bee keeper that my job was to make honey. Who doesn't love honey. Perhaps someday I will turn my back on all the craziness and settle for a simpler life. Anyways to you who read this I hope you have a sweet weekend!!

Being young and broke

I guess this is just the time in life I will remember as being the poorest I've ever been. Thats what they say about Grad school now I know from 1st hand experience its true. It's weird though I am trying to kind of embrace it, I mean this is the time where the memories I have i'll probably share with my children some day. I picture telling them someday about how me and their dad were so poor we used to live in the basement of this house where these really nice people rented to us, and our dinners used to consist of grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup along with 2 buck chuck, on special occasions. I really can't wait to be done with this stage in life to be able to have my own place and kitchen where I cook barefooted just like this adorable picture of Audrey Hepburn.!!! What a girl can dream right?

Squeezing the last adventure out of Summer

Today it has been exactly 2 months since Tim and I got married crazy!!!!!!!! It has been a wonderful two months and everyday I am more and more in love with Tim. Sometimes I get these thoughts in my head all of a sudden like "I'm a wife" or "I have a husband" and it kind of feels surreal. I feel ultimately blessed and anytime I feel doubt or feel unsure about where I am in life I take a look at where I came and it really makes me put into perspective how even when our finite mind doesn't comprehend why we are in a stage of life or if God really does have a plan for our future just take a look at what you were praying for 2 or 3 years ago and see if those prayers have been answered. It's incredible 4 or 5 years ago I remember watching friend after friend get engaged or get married and I would go home to a lonely apartment and make dinner and eat by myself. I remember writing in my journal at one time

Welcome September

It's the first day of september and the summer is coming to a close for most of us it already has, but there is just something about september that just makes it so final. New school supplies, fall stuff popping up in stores, and of course back to school shopping. What is great about September especially in places like San Diego, is that the summer crowd has finally gone the beaches are even more beautiful the weather is still nice and warm and the water is warm also plus the sunsets in my opinion are much prettier. One thing I'm looking forward to up here in San Francisco is the Indian Summer which I experienced last year and am hoping to enjoy again this year.
