Have an Attitude of Gratitude

I'm thankful for YOU!! What are you thankful for today?
The point of Thanksgiving is to remember the things we have to be grateful for. It's our special time to give thanks... not just for the obvious, like food, but for the thousands of fortunate moments, the multitude of blessings that we receive each year.
That's not always as easy as it sounds. We tend to remember the bad things much more easily than the good. That's where this article comes in. using the tips below,

Going Home!

It feels so weird this year now that I am not a short drive away from home instead I am around 8hrs away and I haven't been home since August which is unusual for me I would go home maybe once every month or every two months. So I guess that is why I am so looking forward to this Thanksgiving I am ready to just hang out with the family and just be home! I am starting to get used to being up here so I hope I don't come back and get homesick all over again, but it will be great to see the people I miss and be around the stuff thats familiar! My thanksgiving holiday will consist of sleeping in, eating delicious breakfasts that my dad makes, shopping with mom on sister on crazy black friday, making tamales with my nana and cousins, and hopefully squeezing in some surfing! What about you any holiday plans will you be traveling home or will you be waiting until christmas for that?

San Francisco and My Favorites

One of my favorite tourist destinations in San Francisco is Ghirardeli Square! I only get to go there when friends visit that want to hit up all the touristy spots but I wish I had an excuse to go there everyday. The chocolate shop has the most amazing desserts pretty pricey but big enough to share! It is definitely a favorite here in San Francisco.

In 1837, Domingo Ghirardelli left his homeland of Italy with dreams of selling confections and chocolate abroad. After spending ten years in South America, he immigrated to the United States during the California Gold Rush to see if he could strike it rich. He was immediately successful, and in just three years Domingo had created the Ghirardelli Chocolate Company. In the early 1900's, Ghirardelli' Chocolate found a home in Ghirardelli Square, among San Francisco's historic piers. It's trademark lights began welcoming ships passing through the Golden Gate, as they still do today.

Babushka Dolls

Today I have been thinking about Babushka dolls who knows why but I just love these little dolls painted so beautifully and intricate. When I was really young my Grandma Nana Tutti used to watch me while my mom was at work she had a couple Babushka dolls and whenever I would go to her house I would go straight to the dolls and play with them. Everytime I see a Babushka doll I think of her. One of my favorite things about traveling is finding traditional artwork that other countries are famous for when I go to Russia someday I am going to go treasure hunting for the most beautiful Babushka doll.

A Sea of Red

Don't you just love the brilliant red color of cranberries! I've been daydreaming today about cranberries wouldn't it be fun to work at a cranberry field for a day and be able to wear those funny looking pants that cranberry farmers wear. I love the ocean spray commercials where the men are just standing with all those floating berries around them. Plus cranberries are so good for you cranberry juice dried cranberries and even cranberry sauce at thanksgiving, what could be better than cranberries.
